Are you missing the excitement of ‘Suralan’s ‘weekly challenges, Margaret’s raised eyebrows and Nick’s dry wit?
In an attempt to identify tomorrow’s business leader, in the New Year Sir Alan (sorry, Baron Sugar of C!) will be putting 10 eager teens through their paces in a junior version of the hit show. The lucky winner will receive £25,000 towards the apprenticeship of their choice.
Although, the application process for the BBC’s Junior Apprentice programme is now closed but young people all over the country will be starting real Young Apprenticeships at school in September, while older leavers are still looking for full Apprenticeships.
Sir Alan is also fronting the National Apprenticeship drive – he’s an obvious choice and an energetic supporter - but is the image right? Are young people prepared for the reality of an apprenticeship? Will they be disappointed by the lack of glamour and excitement? What do you think?
